This is a very interesting ski, carving on firm pistes or floating through champagne powder I can see that its performance could be superb. However, in mixed conditions and particularly in soft porridge as we experienced on the SIGB Ski Test in March, it needs to be handled very carefully as the spoon like tip will encourage a build up of snow underneath that then has a tendency to lock up if the skis move across the fall line.
Fantastic at what they do well, but be careful, don't believe all the hype about them being the future of skiing, they definitely are not they are simply another angle on the carve revolution and one that in the wrong hands could I believe present many skiers with significant difficulties.
Some people who have tested them liked them but we know far more skiers who have ridden them to experienced instructor level who haven't. All we are saying is think long and hard before buying these.
